On Friday, November 2nd at 7 pm, Mint Hill Yoga will welcome Ramesh Bjonnes to its studio in The Lofts at 7714 as he presents his Mindfulness, Breath and Chakra Meditation workshop. Ramesh is a co-founder of the Prama Institute in Marshall, NC. He has written extensively on tantra, yoga, culture and sustainability, and his articles have appeared in books and numerous magazines and newspapers in Europe and the US.
Meditation is remembering to be present in the moment. Yogic meditation uses the flow of the breath to facilitate more flow and harmony in life. In this class, you will learn simple meditation techniques using breath, mindfulness and concentration to facilitate the deep flow of inner transformation. Part practice and part theory, this class will introduce you to various techniques of yogic and tantric meditation, as well as the philosophy and science behind kundalini, chakras, pranayama, and mantras.
