In August, Mint Hill Yoga moves “one step closer to being a complete holistic wellness center” according to owner Bettie Shea as it welcomes Dr. Danielle Edwards, Ed.D., LPCS, NCC to its team.

Mint Hill Yoga Announces Upcoming, Exciting Workshops and Excursions

Mint Hill Yoga continues to expand its offerings as more and more Mint Hill residents demand additional yoga class times and varieties.  Starting this month, Yoga for Beginners is now available two times a week:

  • 90 minute 5:30 pm Tuesday class with Mint Hill Yoga owner and instructor Bettie Shea that goes from 3/11 through 4/8 – cost is $40 for the five week series
  • 60 minute 9 am Saturday class with instructor Keisha Battles – cost is $35 for 5 consecutive Saturdays

The studio is also planning two yoga workshops for April at a cost of $35 per workshop:

  • Spring Renewal Restorative Workshop on Friday, April 4 from 7 – 9 pm with instructor Bettie Shea
  • Yin/Yang Workshop on Saturday, April 12 from 4 – 6 pm with instructors Ashley Masters and Kacy Pleasants

And finally, Mint Hill Yoga recently announced that it is planning to host two incredible yoga retreats, one near and one far:

  • Yoga in the Mountains is scheduled for October 17-19, 2014
  • Yoga in France is scheduled for June 13-20, 2015  (early bird discount available through May 30, 2014)

Mint Hill Yoga to Stay in The Lofts at 7714 for Another Year

JMMT Partnership, the local family-owned commercial real estate partnership that owns The Lofts at 7714, is pleased to announce that Mint Hill Yoga has renewed its lease for another year.  “As this Mint Hill-based yoga studio celebrates its one year anniversary, we are thrilled that they have chosen to keep their business in The Lofts at 7714,” said Mary Crotty, JMMT Managing Partner.  “They are excellent tenants and stewards of this former mill building.”

One Year and Counting for Lofts Tenants

Happy Anniversary to The Lofts at 7714 tenants Spotlight Performing Arts Academy and Mint Hill Yoga.  Both moved into this retrofitted mill building in downtown Mint Hill one year ago this month.

Spotlight Performing Arts Academy is located in the anchor space of The Lofts at 7714 offering musical instrument, voice and theatre classes and performances.  In their first year, they taught students of all ages in various performing arts genres, sponsored show choirs and presented live performances such as School House Rocks Junior.  Here is to your first year in business Spotlight!

Mint Hill Yoga, located within the interior of The Lofts at 7714, is now offering over a dozen classes per week in a variety of yoga genres, including Slow Flow, Fusion, Soft Vinyasa, Deep Stretch, etc.  With the motto Yoga for Every Body, they have a class to fit everyone from the beginning yoga practitioner to the experienced one, at all age levels and with all body types.  Congratulations to Mint Hill Yoga!

Mint Hill Yoga Spring Series Classes Now Registering

Mint Hill Yoga, located in Suite H of the Lofts at 7714, is now registering for its spring Series Classes.  Each of the following Series is made up of 5 sessions of a specific yoga class and the cost is $40 per series.

Basics/Level 1 & 2 Series:  Offered Monday at 6 pm on 4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29 and 5/6.  Instructor – Bettie Shea, RYT.

Basics/Level 1 & 2 Series:  Offered Monday at 7:30 pm on 4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29 and 5/6.  Instructor – Bettie Shea, RYT.

Subtle Flow Series:  Offered Wednesday at 9:30 am on 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8 and 5/15.  Instructor – Bettie Shea, RYT.

Basics/Level 1 & 2 Series:  Offered Tuesday at 6 pm on 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16 and 4/23.  Instructor – Adele Schiessle, CPT.

Energy Flow Series/All Levels:  Offered Tuesday at 7:30 pm on 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9 and 4/16.  Instructor – Adele Schiessle, CPT.

Mint Hill Yoga Publishes Class Schedule

As soon as Mint Hill Yoga puts the finishing touches on its studio in The Lofts at 7714, it will be offering a wide variety of classes throughout the week.  Stay tuned for class start dates but for now check out their weekly offerings:

Sunday 3 pm:  Fusion Flow – a combination of vinyasa, alignment and deep stretch

Wednesday 8:45 – 9:15 am:  Meditation (no charge – bring a cushion)

Wednesday 9:30 – 10:45 am:  Vinyasa

Wednesday 11:00 – 12:15 pm:  Gentle Flow – just like it says, slow gentle movement, accessible to all body types, shapes ans sizes

Thursday 8:45 – 9:15 am:  Mediation (no charge – bring a cushion)

Thursday 9:30 – 10:45 am:  Beginner’s Yoga

Thursday 11:00 – 12:15 pm:  Slow Flow – Vinyasa style yoga with longer holds and more stretching

Friday 5:30 – 6:45 pm:  Fusion Flow

Saturday 10 – 11:15 am:  Vinyasa

Saturday 2 – 3 pm:  Kid’s Yoga (Starts 10/20/12)

The studio is closed on Mondays.
