Lofts’ Owner Celebrates 50 Years

In June, 1963, John and Margaret Healy bought a vacated mill building on a two-lane road in the sleepy town of Mint Hill.  There, they built their business while their young family grew.  Today, fifty years later, that vacated mill building has been transformed into ten unique and eclectic commercial spaces within The Lofts at 7714, that two-lane road is the busy, downtown throughway of Matthews-Mint Hill Road in growing and bustling Mint Hill.

The children of John and Margaret make up JMMT Partnership, the owners of The Lofts at 7714, and they are proud to celebrate fifty years of ownership of one of Mint Hill’s most unique and historic buildings.  Proud that they never let it see the wrecking ball or deteriorate beyond use.  Instead, with The Lofts at 7714, this vintage building is enjoying a new life as JMMT provides affordable and unique commercial spaces for local businesspersons, entrepreneurs, artists and creative souls in Mint Hill and the surrounding areas.

Happy 50th Anniversary and here’s to many more!
