Asylum Digital Transforms Space within The Lofts at 7714
The history of 1,386 square feet of space in downtown Mint Hill.
1945 – A Hosiery Mill.
1963 – A formica countertop manufacturing firm.
1992 – Warehouse space.
2005 – A cabinet shop.
2012 – A Digital Recording Studio.
Who would believe that the same space used for such industrial purposes could be transformed into a digital recording studio? Well, Scott Slagle did! From the moment he stepped foot into the back left corner space of The Lofts at 7714 building, he visualized a complete transformation. As the owner of Asylum Digital, he made that vision a reality with his own two hands. Scott recorded every step of the way with his New Studio Build Diary. Take a look! It’s amazing what he has done to the space, taking advantage of its vintage vibe to create a wholly unique and eclectic studio for recording artists.
