The Lofts at 7714 Tenant Jane Yates Featured in Matthews-Mint Hill Weekly
The Lofts at 7714’s very own Jane Yates and her life long love of art and nature were recently featured in the Matthews-Mint Hill Weekly. Much of Jane’s art focuses on coastal marshes as she captures the beauty of these vanishing natural areas along our shores.
“Marshes are disappearing in North Carolina at a rate of 700 acres a year because of rising waters,” she is quoted in the article. “I’m painting them because they are there now, but they really won’t be 100 years from now.” “What I can do is make people aware that it is happening and that it’s affecting the wildlife and habitats. Maybe by people knowing this is happening, they can do whatever they can do to conserve energy and not pollute and that sort of thing.”

Jane Yates moved her private studio into The Lofts at 7714 in January of this year.
